Terms of Service

By accessing or using CoverCheck.us ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

CoverCheck.us is a COI (Certificate of Insurance) tracking and compliance monitoring tool for general contractors, property managers, and business owners. The Service provides automated extraction, expiry reminders, and compliance status monitoring. CoverCheck.us is not an insurance broker, agent, or legal advisor.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to use the Service. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are liable for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@covercheck.us of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly via PayPal. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Data is retained for 90 days post-cancellation as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload fraudulent, forged, or intentionally misleading COI documents
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malware or malicious code
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others

6. Data Accuracy & AI Extraction

COI data extraction is performed using automated AI and regex methods. While we strive for accuracy, extracted data may contain errors. You are solely responsible for verifying all COI information with your insurance carriers or brokers before making compliance decisions. The Service is a tracking tool, not a substitute for professional verification.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, logos, and content (excluding user-uploaded documents), is owned by CoverCheck.us and protected by US and international copyright laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoverCheck.us and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoverCheck.us, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or non-payment. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
